THE STORY: Kadan Montague is a GhostWalker (a genetically and psychically enhanced soldier). He is on a secret mission to hunt down a serial killer who is suspected of being a GhostWalker. Kadan must find the real killers or his friends are in danger of being eliminated to reduce the threat. To find the killer, Kadan intends on obtaining the services of Tansy Meadows who is a psychic elite tracker who tracks serial killers with her mind. Tansy had a breakdown after her last job and now wants to live peacefully. When Kadan finds her, the attraction is immediate and Kadan knows that Tansy is the woman for him. He just has to convince her to join his quest and also to acknowledge his place with her.

OPINION: This is a dark book. The serial killings are dark and sick and Tansy spends most of the book in the mind of the killer. Kadan's history is dark itself and he takes on very difficult assignments that also are dark. This book is dark and bloody and violent. At the same time, this demonstrates how beautiful and light the connection between Tansy and Kadan is. I especially loved how this hard man is so incredibly emotional with Tansy. He needs her intensely -- not only physically but also emotionally. The relationship between the two was so incredibly intense and beautiful that I loved every moment these two were together. The only part of the book that I didn't like was the incredible amount of violence. It works in the story and is not gratuitous, but it bothered me personally because of the intense and persistent nature of the violence.

WORTH MENTIONING: I was very pleased to be back in the heart of the original group of GhostWalkers.

FINAL DECISION: I loved the relationship between Tansy and Kadan. They are in such need for love that it is beautiful to see them both blossom when they find one another. I dinged the book only because it is more violent than others in the series which is something that diminished my enjoyment.

CONNECTED BOOKS: MURDER GAME is the seventh book in the GhostWalkers series. This book can be read as a standalone.

How do you keep on writing these great stories. I cried like 3 times in this book. What amazing details you weave in your story so that you actually feel like your in the room with the characters.
I was inspired by this book. These two people worked very hard, for a love that will last for a lifetime. I loved all of the character's, and the plot. I can,t wait for the next book.
This story was so beautiful. I cried, I died, I loved, I fought, I lived each moment. When I read the last pages I was still "ugly crying" like a baby.
I'm loving this series. The GhostWalkers are phenomenal. The way that each one ends up paired with his female counterpart in a love, life, fighting relationship has kept me rushing through these books. I am now reading Viper Game and can't wait to see what happens to the babies, Wyatt and Pepper. I love Grandmere's ability to be so strong and accepting of her boy's friends.
The crimes that are being committed are well thought out and written with a lot of depth. I found myself really pulling for Tandy to solve them so Kaden and the other Ghostwalkers could stop them all. Tansy has a very sweet and vulnerable personality that has an enormous amount of loyalty. Kaden is alpha male with a strong sense of loyalty too. They are very good for one another.
I am in my third reading of this entire series. While I really like both Kaden and Tansy, other reviewers have commented on the overt dominance/submission feeling of this book, which I somewhat agree with. But I don't think it goes overboard. He is a very strong male lead, she is strong in a softer but more persistent way ... and the twists and turns of the story, as well as the involvement of other Ghostwalkers who have their own books make Murder Game a solid read. I don't read series over again because I am bored or out of new material ... I like re-visiting stories of familiar friends!
I love the books of Christine Feehan, but especially the Ghostwalker series. The characters are drawn very realistically, tough men who have a human side that they rarely show to outsiders. They are very patriotic, serving their country under the most difficult situations.
Each story centers around a love story between a Ghostwalker and a special woman who was also a victim of the crazy Dr. Whitney. The storyline is drawn out and tension builds as the men and women in the story struggle against evil. The author weaves other characters from previous stories into the new storyline. And there is always a happy ending.
